Seedance 2.5 Is Here — What ByteDance's 30-Second AI Video Model Actually Changes

ByteDance used its June 23, 2026 Volcano Engine FORCE conference to unveil Seedance 2.5, with a public rollout targeted for early July 2026 — right now. The headline feature is a single, continuous 30-second clip generated in one pass, no stitching required, plus support for up to 50 reference images, clips, or audio files in one generation, and region-only editing that can swap a subject while keeping the original motion, camera path, and lighting untouched. Seedance 2.0 was bumped to 4K output in the same announcement.

What actually changed from Seedance 2.0/V1.5

Before 2.5, building a 30-second scene meant generating several 5–10 second clips and stitching them, with visible seams at every cut. Seedance 2.5 claims to render that same 30 seconds as one continuous shot. The 50-reference input — mixing images, short clips, and audio — is aimed at keeping a character, outfit, or set consistent across a long generation instead of drifting after a few seconds. The region-only edit mode is a more surgical version of image-to-video: it can reportedly swap a subject in an existing clip without re-rendering the camera move or lighting around them.

Where Uncutly's Seedance actually stands today

Worth being direct about this: Uncutly.AI's video pipeline currently runs Seedance V1.5 Pro, not 2.5. That means 5, 7, or 10-second clips at up to 1080p across six aspect ratios — no native 30-second single shot, no 50-reference input, no region-only edit. Seedance 2.5 is still in ByteDance's global enterprise beta as of this writing, with no public consumer API yet, so it isn't running on Uncutly or on any other consumer-facing generator right now, whatever a given landing page might imply.

Why it would matter for uncensored video, once it ships

A native 30-second shot without stitching seams is exactly the kind of continuity long-form NSFW scenes struggle with today — most platforms, Uncutly included, top out at 10 seconds per generation and rely on separate clips to build anything longer. The catch: ByteDance hasn't published a content policy for 2.5's public API yet, and enterprise-grade releases from major platform vendors almost always ship with tighter default safety filters than niche adult platforms need. Whether 2.5 ever becomes usable for uncensored generation, on any platform, is genuinely open.

What we're watching

We track new model releases as vendors open up broader API access, and we integrate the ones that are technically and commercially compatible with an 18+ content policy. Seedance 2.5 isn't there yet. Seedance V1.5 Pro is the real, working version on Uncutly today.

FAQ

Can I generate video with Seedance 2.5 on Uncutly.AI right now?

No. Seedance 2.5 is in ByteDance's enterprise beta with no public API yet. Uncutly.AI's video pipeline currently runs Seedance V1.5 Pro — up to 1080p, 5/7/10-second clips.

Is Seedance 2.5 the same as the Seedance V1.5 Pro on Uncutly?

No — they're different model generations. V1.5 Pro is the current production version integrated into Uncutly's generator; 2.5 is ByteDance's newly announced, not-yet-public model with a longer native clip length and more reference inputs.

Will Seedance 2.5 be uncensored?

Unknown. ByteDance hasn't published a content policy for 2.5's public release, and there's no indication yet whether it will support adult content on any platform.

How do I get a longer uncensored clip on Uncutly today?

Generate multiple 10-second Seedance V1.5 Pro clips and edit them together — the current workaround until, and if, a native long-form model becomes available for uncensored use.
