Seedream 5.0 Pro Is Out — What ByteDance's New Image Editor Actually Does

ByteDance announced Seedream 5.0 Pro at the same June 23, 2026 event as Seedance 2.5, and gave it a full public launch on July 9, 2026. It's pitched as a professional-grade image generation and editing model: point-and-click or sketch-guided region editing that leaves the rest of the image untouched, layer separation that can pull a single poster apart into 10+ independent, editable layers, multi-reference fusion, precise color and material matching, and native multilingual text rendering at up to 2K/3K resolution.

What's actually new

The headline feature is anchor-point precision: instead of regenerating a whole image and hoping the rest survives, you mark a point, sketch, or region and only that area changes. Layer separation goes further, breaking a finished image back into its component layers — subject, background, text, props — as editable assets, closer to a layered design file than a flat image. ByteDance is positioning it at designers and marketing teams producing multilingual, production-ready graphics, not casual generation.

Where Uncutly's Seedream lineup actually stands today

To be direct: Uncutly.AI does not run Seedream 5.0 Pro. Uncutly currently offers Seedream 4.5, which handles both text-to-image and image-to-image editing up to 2048×2048 but edits by regenerating around a reference image rather than anchored point or region edits, plus Seedream 5.0 Lite, a fast text-to-image-only tier with no editing mode at all. Neither tier has 5.0 Pro's layer separation, anchor editing, or 3K native text rendering.

Why anchored editing would matter for NSFW work

The single biggest friction in iterative NSFW image editing today — on Uncutly and on most competitors — is that changing one detail, like an outfit, pose, or background element, risks regenerating the whole image and losing everything else that was already right. True anchor-point editing that only touches the marked region would solve that directly. It's a real, useful capability if it holds up outside ByteDance's own demos — worth watching for, not assuming.

What we're watching

Seedream 5.0 Pro is available via Dreamina and Volcano Engine/BytePlus APIs as of its July 9 launch — closer to production-ready than Seedance 2.5's enterprise beta. We'll evaluate it for adult-content compatibility as API access and pricing become clearer. Until then, Seedream 4.5 is the real, working editing model on Uncutly.

FAQ

Can I use Seedream 5.0 Pro on Uncutly.AI right now?

No. Uncutly.AI currently runs Seedream 4.5 (image-to-image editing, up to 2K) and Seedream 5.0 Lite (fast text-to-image only). Seedream 5.0 Pro is not yet integrated.

What's the difference between Seedream 5.0 Lite and 5.0 Pro?

They're not the same model tier despite the shared '5.0' name. 5.0 Lite, on Uncutly today, is a fast, text-to-image-only model. 5.0 Pro is ByteDance's separate, higher-end release with anchor-point editing and layer separation, not currently on Uncutly.

Does Seedream 4.5 on Uncutly support layer separation?

No — Seedream 4.5 supports image-to-image editing guided by a reference image, but not the anchor-point or layer-separation editing ByteDance introduced in 5.0 Pro.

What can I use today for precise NSFW photo edits on Uncutly?

Seedream 4.5 for full-scene image-to-image, or FLUX.1 Kontext for changing one attribute of an existing photo while keeping everything else — including facial identity — the same.
